Basic smartCARS Flight Process

Using smartCARS is simple once you get the rhythm down.

When Should I Start Tracking?

Once the flight is complete, review the information in smartCARS and submit your PIREP.

PIREP Submission

A PIREP, or Pilot Report, is the official record of your completed flight.

smartCARS helps collect the flight data and submit it to Sky Blue Radio Airlines. Once submitted, the PIREP may be reviewed by airline staff before being accepted.

Accepted PIREPs count toward your total flight hours, rank progression, awards, and overall pilot activity.
